Join Flip, Flop, Mamma and Tea Monster at the Tea Time Festival with this fun counting song; the opening track of our album A Colourful World! It´s a catchy song for learning the numbers 1 to 12, and fun to join in with Flop’s food chorus!
The video showcases some new instruments for our friends! Flip has a great new trumpet, and Flop a very special saxophone. As with all the props in our videos, I made these completely by hand from scratch.
Flip’s trumpet
For both instruments I sculpted a foam block for the main body and glued pieces of foam sheeting to form the cones. Then I used some scrap fabric to make a rough pattern for the covering. Once I was happy with how the scrap pieces fitted, I cut the final pieces from fleece and felt and hand stitched everything together.

The best part was choosing and sewing the trims and buttons.
Loving that gold brocade trim!
It’s all about the details with Tea time Monkeys, and those final touches really make the difference!
The finished article!
Tea Time Numbers is also our first video in collaboration with Jacobo Gómez, a talented young local animator who we are delighted to welcome to our team. We hope to continue creating a lot more material with him!
Check out the dedicated song page for Tea Time Numbers, which includes the lyrics and how to download the song. We have other resources related to the song, such as tea and picnic food themed printables, or why not make a fun cardboard tube trumpet with your child, to play along with Flip?
We hope you and, more importantly, your little ones enjoy Tea Time Numbers; made as ever, with a lot of love!
