This FREE printable Farm Animals and Babies Bingo Game is a fun way to reinforce listening skills and help kids focus on specific vocabulary. It’s a great addition to Farm Animal Units, and I also use it as a fun Mother’s Day activity in class!
The game includes 10 different bingo boards and practises 12 words: cow-calf, horse-foal, chicken-chick, pig-piglet, sheep-lamb, duck-duckling.
Before playing the actual game you can use picture-word cards on pages 2-3 of the printable to teach the vocabulary and play a game of pairs with your kids. If you are using this in an ESL classroom with 3-4 year olds you may want to make it simpler by teaching the words for the adult animals and then use “baby cow”, “baby horse” etc.
You can combine this with our other FARM ANIMALS related resources. See end of post for more!
How to play the Farm Animals and Babies Bingo Game:
1. Download the file (see download box below). Print one set of picture cards (pages 2 and 3) and cut them out. You can colour and laminate the cards if you wish.
2: Print as many bingo boards (pages 4-8) as you need. Colour and laminate the boards if you want to re-use them.
3. Give one bingo board to each player. Put the picture cards in a bag or a box and pick out one at a time. If a player has that word they put a mark on their board (colour the picture, mark with a cross or place a counter or blob of play dough). The first one to mark all the objects on their bingo board wins! Don’t forget to shout “BINGO!” when you complete the board!
